Hey Snow fans! Right, this is the year we have the launch of the
Buxton Official Snow Sports Club (or as it will be better known, BOSS-DERBY).
WE ARE FOUNDED IN BUXTON, BUT THE CLUB IS FOR BOTH BUXTON AND DERBY STUDENTS WITH COMMITTEE MEMBERS AT BOTH TO ENSURE COMMUNICATION AND EVENTS ARE SET UP FOR BOTH.
So this is to inform those that don’t know about us, what we have planned during the upcoming University year.

ITINIRARY
Right so what’s all the hype about what we have planned?
The WINTER TRIP is a mega student ski fest, with a full weeks itinerary of skiing and boarding, après ski drinks and evening entertainment. The trip includes transport, accommodation, lift passes and fun, with mega deals for hire and lessons for all abilities. Location- Les Deux Alpes, France….. woop woop! Dates- 16th-24th Dec 2011. Price- £369!! YES B.O.S.S.!!!
BOSS does CHILLFACTOR-E wednesday nights through Novemeber. we are getting you intermediates on the slopes with either liftpasses of race/freestyle lessons at discounted prices.
For you beginners we are sending you to SHEFFIELD SKI VILLAGE for a 'learn to board/ski in a weekend'.
Heard of Relentless Freeze Festival in London? The one with pro riders doing stunts, running comps??? The festival that had The Streets and Groove Armada headlining this year??? Yep that’s the one! We’re aiming to head on down for this. OFF THE PISTE are doing a day trip on the saturday for £59
On the 30th October 2011 we will be invading Birmingham for the British ski and board show at the NEC. Where there will be performances from boarders and skiers a like, and you can check out the sweet gear that is available nowadays, to get you looking flash for the winter season (so remember to bring some cash!).
During the winter, as those already have been studying at Buxton will tell you, we have a fair amount of snow, usually the highest in England to be precise. So walking to the peak of the hills surrounding and shredding down is a possibility! Which I can pretty much say no other University has the privilege of. So the plan for when it snows is to have a DIY sledge race (so start thinking about your designs people, I want to see some style and speed out there!) with a BBQ. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Race without the Apres sledge drinks!
Next year we’re going to the uk’s only student festival Beach Break Live. So keep an ear out for info on this later in the year.
