Derbyshire Falcons

Team Derby and DCCC have a scholarship system in place to support talented academy players looking to study at the University whilst maintaining their playing status at the club.
 
Team Derby Cricket uses the DCCC County Grounds’ Gateway facility as their training venue offering the best cricket training facility in the Derbyshire area.
 
Student and staff ticket offers, pitch presentations and guest coaching sessions are all part of the established partnership between Team Derby and DCCC

Burton Albion FC

One of our recent graduates has benefitted from the newly formed partnership with Burton Albion FC. The partnership provides the football club with Prozone analysis of their matches provided by recent graduate Alex Molloy. The club have also trained at the University and pitch side advertising will soon be evident at the Pirelli Stadium, home of Burton Albion FC

Panthers

The University of Derby are proud sponsors of the Elite League ‘Panthers’, providing Master’s level qualifications to overseas players of the club who are looking to develop their academic profile. The University receives excellent brand awareness on the clubs kit as well as the around the ice rink.

Buxton and High Peak Golf Club

Focussed on our Buxton Campus but available to all staff and students from all campuses Team Derby provides new and existing players and beginners access to the game of golf at the excellent facilities at the Buxton High Peak Golf Club  
 
The offer includes:
 
A round of golf will be at the reduced rate of £6 for students and £8.50 for staff
B&HPGC will offer ‘academic year’ only membership to bona fide Buxton University students at £100.
B&HPGC will offer bona fide University staff ‘academic year’ membership for £300
B&HPGC will offer chipping and putting lessons for beginners, in groups of 2, at cost of £25 for 6x 1/2h lessons

Derby County Football Club

Team Derby has an established partnership with the football club which offers a variety of offers, opportunities, and benefits to both parties. The Kedleston Road campus is the home of DCFC Academy Development Centres, the training venue of DCFC Ladies, as well as providing physiological assessments to members of the academy squad.
 
The University are proud sponsors of the family stand at Pride Park and we offer all students and staff discounted ticket offers for only £10 a game through a dedicated membership scheme, which can be accessed by taking your student/staff card to the ticket office at Pride Park to sign up for the scheme.

Derbyshire Sport County Sports Partnerships (CSP)

Team Derby’s relationship with our local CSP is key to ensure we continue to attract, develop, and produce talented athletes in Derbyshire as well as attracting national and international talent to Derby. Sponsors of the annual CSP Sports Award the University are committed to keeping ‘talented Derbyshire athletes in Derbyshire’.
 
Coaching Derbyshire, the coaching arm of Derbyshire Sport are the providers of all student and staff coaching needs. Signposting students to available National Governing Body coaching courses and offering workshops and bursaries to develop the next generation of coaches.
 
In 2010 Team Derby and Derbyshire developed a participation pathway for students and staff of the University to ensure greater and easier access to continued sport participation into local community sports clubs.

Derventio Excel Swim Team

Through our Team Derby performance facilities and provisions the University’s academic team provides strength and conditioning services to the county’s top swimming stars. The University’s growing reputation to provide elite athlete services has seen work undertaken with Ilkeston Town Academy FC and Derbyshire Athletics Network

Kedleston Park Golf Club

Team Derby and Kedleston Park Golf Club are working together to help promote Golf here at the University. We are therefore delighted to detail the following membership offer, available to Team Derby students:

University of Derby Full Student Membership - £290 per annum (joining fee waived). Full playing rights throughout the year.

University of Derby Reduced Student Membership - £100 per annum (joining fee waived). Restricted access to the course for the university year (Sept to May) on Sunday pm, Tuesday pm and Wednesday pm only.

Duffield Squash and Racketball Club

Team Derby and Duffield Squash and Racketball Club are working together to help promote Squash here at the University and are strongly committed to making the game more accessible to our University community. The University of Derby's newly formed Squash team is competing in BUCS Leagues this year, using Duffield as their base.

Duffield Squash Club is home to Benz-Bavarian Duffield who play in the Premier Squash League. Nick Matthew, World Number 1, and Jenny Duncalf, World Number 2, currently spearhead the PSL Team.

The Club has very active Junior and Senior sections and extends a warm welcome to experienced and novice players alike.

University of Derby students can join Duffield Squash Club for the greatly discounted fee of just £30 - which provides full membership rights and access to facilities.
