Grass Pitches

The Grass Pitch facilities at the University of Derby are of a high standard and entertain a variety of University sport. These easily accessible pitches offer students the chance to play sport on safe surfaces which are serviced regularly to ensure performance levels can remain unnaffected by adverse weather conditions.

The Rugby Pitch

The Rugby Pitch at the Kedleston Road site, is where both Rugby Union and Rugby League teams train and compete. Located adjacent to the 3G Pitch, the Rugby Pitch will also play host to Archery during the summer training months.

 

The Sturgess Bowl

Located behind the Jonty Farmer pub on Kedleston Road, The Sturgess Bowl is the home of grass football at the University of Derby. Both Men's and Women's teams compete at Sturgess as they look to turn it into a fortress each season.
