Clubs

Our growing reputation for encouraging participation in sports has gone from strength to strength; not only do we offer you the opportunity to join student clubs we have a range of community partner clubs who can provide you with a unique sporting experience. With over 30 clubs running within the Athletic Union, there are a wide range of sports for you to choose from. The offers range from performance to the social side of sport so that all of our students have something to get involved with.

Our aim is to be an established sporting institution inside the Top 50 British Universities and Colleges Rankings (BUCS). In 2012 we moved up 27 places and achieved the prestigious BUCS 'Most Improved' Award. The pace at which we are developing leads us to believe we can achieve our target within the next 3 years. To help us achieve our aim we are always looking to recruit the very best athletes, so if you are a prospective student, or someone who is already at Derby but has not yet got involved, please get in contact with us, as we are always happy to answer any of your questions.
